Copywriting – Spotlight Emails
So you have a streaming service. Nice! Now how do you let your members know about your 40,000-50,000+ titles?
Say hello to the Spotlight Email. Sometimes I wrote about a classic series or movies, like Dragon Ball Z. Other times, Japanese licensors would send us a few character names and the show title, and we would craft an exciting and captivating spotlight to convince audiences to tune in. Whether it was Kaiju No. 8, Mushoku Tensei Season 2, or any of the other thousands of titles, I took time to understand the audience, genre, selling points, and similar shows and series to compare it with.
The result? Growing viewership across a wide array of titles rather than the most popular 20-30 titles.
